Section C Objectives and activities

The main objective is to advance and maintain Christian faith, tradition and doctrines of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church by providing religious rites and sacraments for all its members. Due to the impact of Covid-19 Pandemic, the activities of the MSOC UK were restricted and limited to a minimum. The Covid restrictions and the unavailability of the venues made it very difficult and sometimes even impossible for most of the parishes to conduct their regular face-to-face services such as the Holy Qurbana, Sunday school classes, Prayer Meetings, etc. As a consequence, there was no other option than to conduct them online, and even now most of our parishes and spiritual organisations have succeeded to sustain their services virtually. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Holy Qurbana, Sunday school classes, Prayer Meetings were held online for spiritual upliftment of members. The 250 families who attended Lenten Convention virtually found it was very useful to uplift their spirituality, especially at the time of lent and the Covid-19 situation.

The Council provides prayer support and guidance to the member parishes and congregations
