families of children with FPIES, through
hosting our website and direct enquires to
the charity.
We have attended two conferences during
this period in order to raise awareness
about FPIES amongst healthcare
professionals. At one of these, the
Paediatric Food Allergy Symposium hosted
by Nutricia, one of our Trustees gave a talk
on ‘FPIES – a parent view’ alongside a talk
by a paediatric allergy consultant about
FPIES. We hope that this helped to raise
awareness about FPIES, and also to
highlight the difficulties faced by families
and the unmet needs. We also spoke to a
number of healthcare professionals and
distributed information sheets.|
