Activities
Hire regular meeting place for monthly gathering of members of the club, every second Tuesday of the month, and for ladies only on last Thursday of the month, at St. Lawrence Church Hall, Harrow. Arrange dinner with music at two Eid festivals and Bengali new years day; Christmas and New years dinner. Arrange weekly Yoga sessions on Wednesdays, annual day trip and over night stay trips by coach.
Objects: To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With Residents Of Harrow And Adjoining Boroughs, Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Ethnic Origin And Age, In Particular Of Bangladeshi Community Who Are Over-50 In Age, To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them To Integrate Into Society, In Particular But Not Exclusively By: A. Providing A Meeting Place On A Regular Basis, That Encourages And Enables Above Mentioned Community Who Are Socially Excluded, To Participate More Effectively With The Wider Community B. Providing Opportunity To The Above Mentioned Community To Reduce Loneliness, Sense Of Isolation, Anxiety And Depression And To Participate Socially With The Wider Community By Arranging Special Dinners, Day Trips, Barbecue And Other Social Outings & Tripsc. Providing Information, Advice And Assistance To Promote Social Awareness And Healthy Life Style To The Above Mentioned Community By Arranging Lectures On Health, Social And Life Style Issues. D. Providing Exercise And Recreational Facilities For The Above Mentioned Community By Arranging Yoga Sessions And Cultural Eventse. Increasing Or Co-Ordinating, Opportunities For The Above Mentioned Community To Engage With Various Service Providers
