|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The key achievement is that the charity has<br>raised sufficient funds to cover all the costs<br>of educating the orphaned children in the<br>care of the Sisters.<br>Five orphaned children have attended<br>school and all their requirements in terms of<br>uniform, equipment, extra curricular activities<br>have been met by the charity. Their lives are<br>thus enriched and they have reason to be<br>optimistic about their future opportunities in<br>life.<br>Additionally, mindful of the likelihood that<br>some of the children may go on to higher<br>education, a further sum has been invested<br>to meet these future costs, thus honouring<br>our commitment to support these young<br>people until all their educational needs have<br>been met.<br>Additionally, during the year the Chair has<br>made 2 visits to Grahamstown. Here she<br>lives alongside the children and has an<br>active involvement in their activities and<br>interests.|
