ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
A. Risk Management
LBSU major I'i5k is that of funding. We are dependent on the university block nrant to tund our
operations and the block grani makes up 76 % of our incoin¢. We have very little indepeiideiitly &Fenei'ated
incoine aiid this does not look likely to change. as there are very liinited ways we Can generate mo
income on campus.
All our activities at'e risk assessed to minimise any risks thi'oiiiyll OLir aclivitv aiid appropriate levels of
insurance are held. Risk assessmeiits al'e reviewed annually or as required. Budgetary aiid iiitei'nal control
risks are minisnised by the iinpleinentaiion of procedures for thc authorisation of all transactions and
projects.
We have a Health aiid Safely policy in place and a risk reL7iSter. The Chief Executive Officer has
coiiipleted an Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) 'Manatsing Sately, coiirse. to be ablc to
update these dociiineiils on an anniial basis, once updated, they al'e then approved by the board of trustees.
