Since the last report Youth clubs have maintained their attendances, Fridays have seen numbers of up to 80 young people each week, Mondays are a lot quieter and also have maintained their numbers of over 20. We have seen our volunteer numbers maintained with some leaving and new volunteers joining. We had positive response from our recent volunteer requests and continue to be very grateful to the core team of volunteers who are with HYC most weeks and make it possible to keep running. We are looking forward to adding to our team in future years. Birthday parties continue to be popular at HYC and we have had a total of 96 in this 12 month period with 21 other events which include Roller discos, Table Tennis two-day tournament, HYC FC Awards, Springbucks Gymnastic competition, a micro robot’s annual competition and a New years Eve family party. Since the last report the old games room has been converted into a dedicated craft room and a room previously used to store gymnastic and Judo mats has been turned into a UV room that now contains the centres game consoles for the children to use. These ideas were possible due to the dedication of the committee and the vision of the centre manager whose dedication over the past year has been notable. Outside of the centre we have supported community events by taking our inflatables along which includes the Hazlemere Fete and Party by the Pond. We are still looking for new hirers to join us during the day and it’s great that we were able to support a new business venture called Smiffys cafe. The café opens 5 days a week Monday to Friday located within HYC. We are all looking forward to another successful year for HYC. |**CC16a**
