I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/08/2020. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or 

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

(i) to advance the religion of Islam, by means of, but not exclusively, promoting the teachings and tenets of Islam, provision of facilities for Islamic education, in accordance with the teachings of the Quraan and the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as defined and interpreted by the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaa-ah; (ii) the advancement of education, by means of, but not exclusively, the provision of schools, training, supplementary classes, community learning programmes and any such activities as the trustees may determine from time to time; (iii) to relieve financial hardship among the poor, the underprivileged, victims of natural and man-made disasters and people in need, by means of, but not exclusively, making grants or loans for providing or paying for items, equipment, services and facilities for the benefit of the said persons; (iv) to relieve sickness and to preserve good health among poor people, orphans, widows, the blind, the disabled and people in need, by means of, but not exclusively, the provision of facilities or services for treatment, financial assistance, support, education, practical advice and counseling, including the provision of sporting activities for the benefit of the said persons. During the year, we have supported Darul Uloom Markaze-E- Islami in India in providing a primary school and Islamic education seminary for 240 people. We have helped support the running costs such boarding expenses and salaries of the Primary school staff, pupils and also for an Islamic education school. This has resulted in the qualifications of 240 students in Islamic Education courses and English language. The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and are satisfied that the charity is benefitting the public

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

During the year, we have supported Darul Uloom Markaze-E- Islami in India in providing a primary school and Islamic education seminary for 240 people. We have helped support the running costs such boarding expenses and salaries of the Primary school staff, pupils and also for an Islamic education school. This has resulted in the qualifications of 240 students in Islamic Education courses and English language

**Brief statement of the** 

The charity secured donations at lower level of £54,792 compared to previous year due to Covid-19. With the recovery of Gift Aid of £6,697 the total income for the year was £61,489. The expenditure for the period was £87,112. This has been primary the grants (totalling £86,150) given to Markaze Islami Primary School and Darul Uloom Markaze-E-Islami in India via a Memorandum of Agreement between the 2 entities. Currently the trustees future projects and operation costs.
