## Little Steps Big Futures – Charity Number 1159417 ## **TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT 2023-2024** This year has continued to be a difficult year because of the issues that the Covid pandemic has caused. The school has closed for part of the year due to the restrictions in place and the children have had quite a bit of disruption to the continuity of their lessons. We have managed to pay the equivalent of Furlough to the teachers to help support them and to keep the school open. Fund-raising has proved to be difficult as well but we have managed to meet the agreed costs for the year but we have concerns about sustaining the programme in the next few years. We have reminded the villagers that the school project was meant to become selfsustaining and that we had only committed to supporting this project for five years. We have extended that because of the pandemic but we will need to look at a winding down of the support we give to them but will agree a strategy that will endeavour to keep the school active.
