The trustees present their report and the financial statements of Vision Togo Charity for the year ended 30 June 2024.

## **3. Structure, Governance, and Management** 

## **Governing Document** : 

Vision Togo Charity is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. It was registered as a charity with the Charity Commission on 19 November 2014. 

## **Appointment of Trustees** : 

Trustees are appointed by ordinary resolution in line with the Articles of Association. 

## **Organisation** : 

The charity is administered by the board of trustees, meeting quarterly, with day-to-day operations overseen by a small team. 

## **4. Objectives and Activities** 

The objectives of the charity are to provide relief to persons in need due to youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantages, with a particular focus on Togo, West Africa. 



The charity focuses on: 

(A) Increasing the provision of and access to health and education facilities. 

(B) Providing better agricultural inputs, such as seeds and fertilisers, and outputs like storage facilities. 

(C) Encouraging training for entrepreneurial and other business activities. 

(D) Supporting online career development (CPD) for Togolese senior nurses and midwives. 

(E) Developing software and technical skills training. 

(F) Partnership development and investigating inequalities in reproductive and maternal health in low- and middle-income countries. 

(G) Focusing on the health of agricultural workers and conducting research and development. 

(H) Provision of sports equipment, sports training and sporting facilities 

## **5. Achievements and Performance** 

During the financial year, Vision Togo Charity raised a total income of **£36,524.39** through donations and grants. The funds were allocated to support our focus on healthcare with a particular focus on education in healthcare and physical education 

We conducted extensive field research and data collection, which culminated in sporting events in Guyana and East Africa 

## **6. Plans for Future Periods** 

Looking ahead, the charity will continue to prioritise healthcare and there will be an increased focus on entrepreneurial solutions in healthcare and agriculture through the establishment of hubs. Future initiatives will include expanding our research efforts, increasing engagement with communities, and developing new partnerships to promote best practices in agriculture and health. There will be an increased focus on sporting activities and promotion of health and entrepreneurship through sport. We will be adding the region of the Amazon Shield (Guyana and Brazil) to the regions that we focus on. 

We are developing partnerships with infrastructure providers to increase available sports facilities in these regions.
