I'm both sad and glad that myyear is over, but l am also very proud of the yearwe have
had as a group. Below is a brief summaryof the year I chaired foryou.
I have organised l attended three international trips with you boys. The first being my
French AGM which gave you all an insight into myfamily life abroad, the second being
the World Meeting in the Netherlands. which was a great insight for myself on how
tablers get together and party, and the third being my MysteryTour in Malaga, which was
the perfect blend of drinking. adventure. culture. and periL.
l also organised a Table social to Skybar, which was meantto be my Chairmans BBQ.
but it simply turned into being an evening of drinking. dancing to Ibiza anthems. and
some perilous driving.
ULtimately, I have had a bloodygood time going on a joLlywith you boys, and I thankyou
all for helping me make some truly unforgettabLe memories.
In an official capacity l attended the Area and the BarnstapLe AGM atthe start of the
year, l attended a 41 cLub meeting, I chaired six business meetings, attended many sub-
committee meetings for Beer Fest and Soapbox, we attended the Christmas do
together. lead ourteam to victoryfor theTable141 Cup. attended many cheque
presentation photo shoots, had the pLeasure of inducting two great lad into the foLd, and
ultimately said yes to as much as I possibly could.
On a Charity level, I put many hours into helping make sure that our Beerfest in 2024
was a success. l organised an Elevate Fitness Beasting (which I tactically avoided),
organised a Table Christmas Pub Quiz at the George and the Dragon, I was integralto
making sure the Nursery Garden project was a success, and although the Soapbox
event was not possible in my Year as I hoped, I have put a lot of effort into making it a
th
possibility for August the 10 2025. Not to forget, I have also had the pleasure of being
on the board to successfully launch ourvery own Combe Raider Rum and Combe Rider
Gin, as weLI as our very own kids club in the form of Marchesi Youth.
This all lead to us earningtens of thousands of pounds, which has allowed us to donate
just over £17,400 this year, and pledge more again.
Very proud of aLlthe above. Proud to have such a decent group of guys helping me
navigate and achieve alLthe above, and I thank you from the bottom of my heartfor
being a bunch of legends. Table isn'tjust about socials and charity, as I can honestly say
that some of my best friends have been made through table. and I believe it has helped
to shape me as a better person.
If I had to sum myyear up in three words it would be: Antics, Camaraderie, Peril

Community Servicecommittee's Report2024-25
As a committee we have tried to give away as much as possible during this year,
in order to fulfil our main role as Tablers - to support the community.
It has been great to have the immediate authority to decide on worthy
beneficiary payments up to £1,000 between us and we have used this to support a
number of activities, which may have otherwise slipped pasL if we had to wait for
business meetings to vote on them.
Below is a brief summary of the funds that we have distributed during our year in
the role:
We gave a total of £4,110 to the nursery project in Braunton, plus dedicated
many, many man hours to transforming the grounds into something special for
the children.
We donated £500 to Ultraman Ashley Cain for his heroic fundraising efforts on
his length of the UK missions.
We donated £400 to the Tangles group for their Winter Wonderland event, which
was sadly cancelled due to the truly horrendous weather that weekend. l assume
they'll just use that money this year instead.
We gave £250 to Jude Robilliard to help towards his costs representing the
South West at an international competition in Denmark.
We gave a total of £2,890 to Becky Prideaux to help towards the costs of
supporting Flo during her battle with Cancer. This money helped the family out
massively and made a really positive impact on the young girl that we helped
support.
We donated £200 towards medical student Aimee's trip to Eswatini to use her
medical skills to help out local small communities.
We donated £350 to Chemo Hero. The Marchesi Club kids managed to raise
£175 through their lolly sales efforts at Beer Festival and decided to donate this to
Chemo Hero; we matched this to make the £350 total. This was a great
experience for the kids when they presented the cheque.
We donated £1,000 to the Straw Patch and their Lonely Parent project. This was
another great project to get behind as it helped out a number of people in the
community.
We donated £185 to Willow through Kieran's quick actions at one of our
meetings at the Pier in September. Can't remember exactly who Willow was, but
there was a local fundraiser for her, so it was worth a donation from us.
We donated £210 to Caitlin Cronin for prizes for the community creative writing
competition that she runs.
We donated £150 to the Belmont Grange care home to provide games and
entertainment for the elderly residents that live there.
We gave £300 to Active Martial Arts North Devon to help out with the costs of
running a martial arts competition for children across North Devon, alongside
others that had travelled from as far away as India. Our very own Josh Wells
came away with a first place trophy and we also had some good sponsorship
promo from this one.
We donated £500 to On the Doorstep for their Christmas shoe box appeal.
Again, this project makes a massive difference to those in our community that are
less fortunate.
We gave Brooklyn Brothers and her family £2,000 to help towards the costs of
furthering her football career. She is destined for greatness, so this investment in
her future will make a big difference to her.
We donated £IOO to Oaktree Nursery for their annual present giving visit from
Santa.
We have, to date, donated £1,240 towards a cleaner and general helper for
Jordan, a young single father in our community, who is battling advanced bowel
cancer.
We donated £234 to Steven Whitworth's crazy run with a pack to raise money for
Adventure Therapy.
We donated £800 to the Brighter Ocean's project to offer surfing sessions for
improving mental health and wellbeing to older and more vulnerable people in
the community.
We gave £400 to Ilfracombe in Bloom to help with the great work that they do in
brightening up our community.
The donations mentioned above total an impressive £16,844 and l am sure that
there may be a few that I have missed out too. There are also a couple of ongoing
planned donations, which total another, approximately, £3k.
As you can see from the above, we have had a great year in terms of Community
Service and our efforts have been massively appreciated throughout the town.
Community Service Officerlcommittee is a very rewarding role to have in IRT and I
hope that every one of you has the opportunity to be involved in this during your
time in table.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Ilfracombe Round Table
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Ilfracombe Round Table for the
year ended 30 September 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in c8rrying out my examination I have followed all the applicabLe Directions given
by
the Charity Commission under section 145(5){bl of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention
in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect-
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination
to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable 8 proper understanding of
the 8ccounts to be reached.
