Shine Bright Foundation provides holistic and complementary therapy
treatments via qualified practitioners.
They are local our area {Cheshire East) and can also be near to ￿there
patients are living.
Any risks or judgements are discussed t￿t￿n tTUStees and then decided
upon each situation.
All trustees give their time voluntary, and re￿1ve no remuneration other
than valid expenses or other beneffts.

SHINE BRIGHT FOUNDATION objects;
To relieve sickness and promote and protect good health amongst those
who are at risk of, or who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in
such ways as the trustees shall see fft.

causes, diagnoses and treatment and disseminating the useful results of
such research.
In the planning forthe year 2013- 2024, we have kept in mind our
charity objectives set out in the goveming documenu guidance on public
health.
Shine Bright Foundation have continued to employ the holistic
practitioners at NavFtas and also at the Reiki Pla￿.
Each of these holistic ￿ntreS hare proving popular.
The holistic treabTrents come in the fonn of reiki and reflexology, we offer
these treatments for those people who have been diagnosed or are
having treatment for b￿ast cancer.

are also well placed to give substantial donations to the Christie
Foundation Trust ￿ntre research dept Manchester headed by Dr Satha
Howell leading oncologist.
We also promote selfcare through leaflets and through social media
notifications.
We provide giftbags and comfort cushions on rBquest. These are design
to provide some comfort to each people who receive8 them.

Shine Bnght Foundation's policy on grant making is entirely based on
how much money has LEen raised throughout the year. and of course
how much money there is in our charity account. We do have to take into
account our day to day commrtments and monthly expenditure. this
generally is an end of year decision.

Achievements and performance

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Our year continwl with our objectives.
We were able to provide and pay for 38 sessions of reiki and reflexology
Each session is 1 hour long treaknent.
We have been able to send 85 gift bags and over 30 comfort cushions.
The gift bags are made up of aloe vera-based product, tooth gel,
moisturiser, deodorant, antibacterial hand gel, lip balm, hertjal tea and
cosy socks along with our charity leaflets.
We are also providing comfort cushions that are designed to sit or be
placed under your arm to relieve any soreness or pressure from the chest
area where surgery has been needed.
We were in the wonderful position to be able to give a grant of £40,000 to
the Christie Research Dept Manthester this year.
This is a second donation from Shine Bright Foundation towards the
BCAN-RAY study, totalling £90k so far. This is an early detection breast
cancer app that has had impressive results.
As a￿ys, we are very lucky to have support and commitment toward
Shine Bright Foundation.
