## **Trustees' Report for the Financial Year Ending 31st March 2025 Averroes Trust**

The financial year ending 31st March 2025 has been marked by the continuation of our mission to empower and uplift communities through education, mutual dialogue, and vocational support. Despite ongoing challenges in the socio-economic landscape, Averroes Trust has successfully adapted its programs to ensure accessibility and engagement.

## **Community Engagement and Training**

Building on the foundation laid in previous years, we expanded our public workshops, leveraging hybrid delivery models to enhance participation. These workshops focused on fostering social integration and shared values. By combining in-person and online sessions, we were able to reach a broader audience, ensuring that geographical and logistical barriers did not impede access to our programs across the country.

## **Seminars on Female Empowerment**

Continuing our commitment to gender equity, we hosted another series of seminars dedicated to female empowerment within ethnic communities. These sessions provided practical guidance for women aspiring to leadership roles in public and professional domains, addressing the challenges they might face as well as dispelling cultural narratives that impede progress.

## **Training for Religious Leaders**

We also delivered specialised training sessions for religious leaders, addressing the nuanced challenges of the modern world. Key themes included social mobility and broader British cultural socialisation within ethnic communities that fosters positive integration.

## **Vocational Support for Young Muslims**

Recognising the pressing challenges faced by young Muslims in education, employment, and social life, we organised targeted vocational workshops online. These sessions equipped participants with practical skills, mentorship, and opportunities to network with professionals across diverse fields. The feedback highlighted the transformative impact of these programs on participants’ confidence and career prospects.

## **Faith and Rationality in Modern Discourse**

Our online seminars explored faith as a catalyst for progress, emphasising its alignment with reason and rationality. Through discussions led by community scholars, participants examined how faith traditions can inspire innovation and solutions to contemporary global challenges.

## **Looking Ahead**

The Averroes Trust remains dedicated to its vision of creating an inclusive and empowered society. As we look to the future, we aim to further expand our outreach, focusing on enhancing accessibility and tailoring programs to address the evolving needs of Muslim communities across the country.
