**Objects:** 3.6  The Charity is a registered charity as defined under the Charities Act 2011 and the provisions of these Articles, including any references to charity, charitable purpose and public benefit shall be construed accordingly.  In the event of any ambiguity the interpretation of these Articles shall be in accordance with the Charity’s status as a registered charity.…4. OBJECTSThe objects of the Charity are specifically restricted to the following exclusively charitable purposes for the public benefit:4.1. To advance education for the public benefit by any or all of the following means:4.1.1. historical and heritage installations, exhibitions, immersive experiences, activities and productions and performing arts projects, including those that celebrate and promote the unique history of Bishop Auckland or England more widely, which increase knowledge, understanding and appreciation of matters of local, regional or national historic interest;4.1.2. conserving, caring for, breeding and raising public awareness of endangered or rare animals, including those of historical or environmental significance to Bishop Auckland or England more widely, and with characteristics worthy of preservation in the interests of public education;4.1.3. providing after-school and training programmes for children and young people that are designed to build skills and self-confidence;4.1.4. such other educational means as the Trustees may think fit from time to time.4.2. To advance community development for the public benefit by the promotion of volunteer programmes that encourage community wide involvement in the Charity’s historical and heritage installations, exhibitions, immersive experiences, activities, productions, its performing arts projects or its other educational activities.This Article 4 may not be amended without the prior written consent of the Commission if it would alter the Charity’s charitable purposes.

**Activities:** The development and presentation of a live-action night show of 2,000 years of British History seen through the eyes of North East England on a 71/2 acre stage to an audience of up to 8,000 in the shadow of Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland, County Durham.Every aspect of the show will be delivered by over 1,000 volunteers to reawaken pride, develop skills and bring the local community together.
