Clavenng Players stage two productions in 2024, one 'A
Bunch of Amateurs. was staged in May 2024. The annual
pantomime was also staged in De￿rnber, entitled The
Highwayman.

Clavering Players provides a range of opportunities for
members to develop their skills and enjoy working
together towards a common goal. We keep our
productions affordable and aim to provide a good mix of
serious and less serious productions to both entertain
and stimulate our aUdien￿S.

Membership of Clavering Players is open to all. The chanty is
run by a committee of Trustees who are all members acting in a
voluntary capauty. All activities on stage, behind stage and front
of house are undertaken by members acting in a voluntary

A Bunch of Amateurs was the play chosen for our May
production this year. This was directed by Rachel Betts and had
the charity,
identifying the
differen￿ the
charity's work
has made to the
circumstances
of its
beneficiaries
and any wider
benefits to
society as a
whole.

The annual pantomime, The Highwayman, was written by
members of the soaety, Megan Elliston and her father Matt
Elliston. This was the fourth panto that they had written.
A cast of 23 was ably supported front of house and backstaqe
by 20 members and volunteers. The preview to the 1st
Clavering scout group and the four performan￿$ were attended
by 400 adults and children from the local community and
beyond.

The Charity is reliant on surpluses from the annual pantomime
to replenish its reserves. There is no risk of insolvency as the
