Audley Community Centre Chairmans report for financial year 2023

It appears that trading is slowly resuming to pre covid levels. Customers in the charity shop are returning along with some new faces, but there is definite evidence of individuals struggling with the cost of living crisis which has in turn impacted our sales.

Support was given to the family of a local child who has been diagnosed with leukaemia.

Unfortunately we have been the victims of a supplier failing to deliver approximately £4000 worth of equipment declaring himself bankrupt. In consequence we have had no alternative other than to obtain from an alternative supplier and now find ourselves on the creditors list of the failed company with little hope of reimbursement. A heavy financial blow that was impossible to predict or avoid.
