The Irustees present their annual report and audited financial statements for the year
ended 30th September 2022 and confirm they comply with the Charities Act 1993, as

Structure, governance and management
Governing Document
Islamic Ansaar Foundation (IAFI is constituted as a charitable trust registered with the
Charity Commission in October 2014 under charity number 1158902. It is govemed by a
deed of trust last updated in January 2015.
Oryanisational Structure
The charty trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the
charity. The trustees give their time freely and re￿1ve no remuneration or other financial
benefits.
The trustees meet together as a bc#Yy every quarter and are responsible for all
decisions taken in relation to the activities provided by the charty- To assist in the
smooth running of the chanty, the truslees have allocated various tasks to members of
the charity lo oversea certain aspects of the charity's work. Members are invited to all
meetings and are encouraged to provide feedback and recommendations that may be
required to provide an effective service. All financial matters are agreed by the Board of
Trustees before members can implement thern in the day to day running of the charity.
All trustees, members and volunteers work on a voluntarily basis and this is done after
they are freed up from their professional occupation during the day.
Recruitment and appointment of trustees
The existing trustees are responsible for the recruitment of new trustees but in doing so
the trustees seek the vievts and recommendations of l)oth members and educated
scholars. The Irustees believe this approach ensures that new trustees are esteemed
members of community who are capable of ensuring that good relations are fostered
between the charity and the people of the local communty that we serve.
In selecting new trustees, we seek to identify people who regulady attend events and
functions organized by the charity and are willing to volunteer to help in our broader
work both nationally and intemationally. Potential trustees are invited to attend trustees.

activities. If all current trustees agree, then potential trustees are proposed as new
trustees at subsequent trustees, meeting. This process allows due consideration of the

Objectives and activities
Our aims
The objects of the charity are set out in the charity's deed and are summarised as
follows.
To provide relief and assistan￿ to refugees in any part of the world who are
victims of war, natural disaster or catastrophe. In parts'cular providing food.
shelter. clothing and medical aid.
To relieve poverty among orphans. by providing the essentials (as mentioned in
1 above} including the right of education.
To relieve povety or financial hardship among widows and their dependants. by
providing or assisting in the provision of education. training. healthcare projects
and all the ne￿SSary projects designed to enable individuals to generate a
sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
To advan￿ the Islamic faith amongst youngsters and the local community by
providing free educational classes in Arabic language, Islamic history, beliefs and
customs, and provKling a confidential advi￿ service to young troubled Muslims.
Our objectives
Our objectives are set out to cover the chafity's operations overseas and also at the
same time provide public benefit to the Islamic communities in the UK. Each year our
trustees review our objedives and activities to ensure they continue to reflect our aims.
In carrying out this review the trustees have considered the Charity Commission's
general guidan￿ on public benefit and in particular its supplementary public guidan
on the advancement of religion for the public benefit.
Public benefit
Trustees have considered the guidan￿ contained in the Charity Commission's general
guidance on public benefit and confimi that they abide by this guidan￿ on public
benefit, when in line with the Trust's aims and objectives and in planning future
objectives, and have complied with Section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due
regard to public benefrt in pursuance of its objectives and actbvities.

Financial Review
During the year the charity raised £63,750.00, which are direct donations from the general
public to carry out our programs of this, £53,788.00 was used in the year on aid programs,

Pakistan - £30,790.00
Madagascar- £18,973.00
The charity continues to work closely with a number of partner organisalions in providing aid to
the needy and of the above expenditure, £20,473.00 was spent with these partner organisalions
and £30,790.00 was directly distributed by Islamic Ansaar Foundation.
Funding sources
The charity's main source of funding is giving, donations can be made online via our website,
bank transfer or by hand. We have managed to raise £63.750.00 of funds and the total amount
of distribution for this period was £53,788.00.
Reserrfe policy
The Charities intention is lo utilize the funds as il receives within a yearf of receiving them bul
reserves are now being held from the non-admin fund for the long-term projects and for
responding to emergency disasters.
A large proportion of the reserves were earmarked for ongoing long-lerm projects and it should
be noted that the projeds now being delivered by the charity are longer term, such as orphan
sponsorship, regular food pack distribution and building masjid projects, which require funds to
be held for longer periods.
Investment policy
Currently the charity doesn t have any investments and money is kept in our charity a¢count.
Plans for future
We plan to make our digltal presence stronger, with the completion of our websrte we will be
focusing on improving and building on our social media presence. Due to the COVID-19
pandemic this process has been accelerated and diversified. We are also looking at considering
expand our charity to cater for more orphans.
