The Richard Beeston Bursary is granted annually to a young British foreign correspondent to spend six weeks reporting from abroad in association with The Times Newspaper. A second Beeston Bursary is given annually in association with the International Journalism MA at City, London University, to fund a young overseas journalist as they study in London.

Objects: To Advance Education For The Public Benefit In The Field Of Journalism By:1) Providing Funds, Where Possible In Association With The Times, To Support Actual Or Aspiring Young British-Based Foreign Correspondents For Short Periods Of Foreign Travel And Reporting In The Field.2) Providing Funds For Actual Or Aspiring Young Middle Eastern Journalists (From Israel, Lebanon And Palestine) To Work As Interns In The UK, Where Possible At The Times.these Objects Are To Be Furthered In Remembrance Of The Life And Career Of Richard Beeston.
