The Charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by a constitution document, available for public view on the club website:

All other policies and procedures pertaining to Club governance are similarly available. The Trustees are nominated and elected by the membership at an Annual General Meeting held each January.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Club shall be to promote community participation in healthy recreation and social engagement for the benefit of the inhabitants of Gwynfi and surrounding areas by providing and maintaining facilities for playing bowls recreationally and competitively and organising related community events and activities such as coaching sessions, family days, presentations and events for members and guests or similar. The club shall seek to encourage and support participation in the sport of bowls by all interested members of the local community irrespective of age, gender, ability or circumstance and aims to sustain a viable and active membership into the future that represents all sections of the community.

1. Chairman’s Report for 2025 – Annual General Meeting 16th Jan 2026.

The Chairman was not able to attend the meeting due to ill health so no Chairman’s report has been issued.

1. Treasurer’s Report & Annual Accounts

The report was presented by the Treasurer Mr Leigh Jones. The club opening balance for 2024 to 2025 is as follows;

2 Secretary’s Report

The Bowls lottery has now been suspended indefinitely until a volunteer within the membership can be found to run the lottery.

The Pavillion lease has been increased from £525.00 to £715.00, A grant was obtained for the sum of £680.00 by our Previous secretary Mr Paul Bryant, this leaves an annual bill of £35.00 per season until the next price review.

Thanks were put on record for Mr Clive Rogers of the G2 pub for providing food/buffet at the after match refreshments and also for is continued sponsorship.

Thanks was also recorded for all of the members who have worked hard throughout the season on the maintenance and upkeep of the green.

3. Election of Officers: President, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Captain ,

Vice Captain and Fixtures Secretary

Mr C. Jones agreed to act as President, Mr R. Quinn agreed to stand as Vice-Chairman, Mr I. Jones agreed to stand as Secretary, Mr L. Jones agreed to act as Treasurer during 2025, all carried by those present. Mr A. Simpson agreed to continue to act as Captain and Mr I. Jones agreed to act as ViceCaptain. Mr. D.Cole agreed to act as Fixtures Secretary. Mr Alan Simpson has volunteered to stand in as Chairman until a full time chairman can be found.
