Trustees’ Report 2024
The Trustees continued to oversee the work of the charity, and to contribute to local initiatives congruent with the charity’s aims.
Support was given to a single parent family, and a man with physical and mental health issues.
The charity put on events to involve local people and enhance health and well-being, such as walks, and meet-ups at the community library. These were also opportunities to identify needs, and provide support and signposting to vulnerable people. The Chair and another Trustee also contributed to the formation of a regular walking for health and wellbeing group.
The charity supported the work of local organisations by organising donations of gifts in kind, for example, the community library, Oxfam.
In order to enhance the scope of the work, the Founder has agreed to fund an administration post (two hours a week) in 2025. This post will work to enhance the profile and accessibility of the charity, recruit volunteers and identify a realistic pathway to providing an asset base.
