REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES for the Year Ended 31‘t March 2024

The trustees present their annual report along with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31%t March 2024. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 using the receipts and payments basis.

Structure, Governance and Management Vine Community Church is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with The Charity Commission on 1 October 2014. The activities of Vine Community Church were originally undertaken by an unincorporated charity, The Vine Community Church, registered number 1142056. The activities were transferred over to the Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 1 January 2015.

The charity is administered in accordance with the constitution adopted on 1* October 2014.

As set out in the constitution, trustees are appointed by the trustee board. In selecting individuals for appointment, the trustee board must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.

The charity’s trustees are listed on page 1.

The financial performance and position of the charity is adequately reflected in the financial statements for the year ended 31% March 2024. The charity has effective processes in place to ensure that it administers its finances wisely and the organisation is in a good position to maintain its charitable duties and functions into the year ahead.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF VINE COMMUNITY CHURCH for the Year Ended 31st March 2024

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31% March 2024 which are set out on pages 6 to 8.

Responsibilities and Basis of Report

As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent Examiner’s Statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or Z. the accounts do not accord with those records.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

6. Purpose of Funds

The Assist Allen Lane Foundation Fund provides support for individuals affected by dementia through a dementia support group. The funding is provided by The Allen Lane Foundation.

The Assist Dementia Support Fund provides support for individuals affected by dementia through a dementia support group, which also provides some coordination support for volunteers and clients in existing one-to-one and signposting roles aligned to this user group. The funding is provided by The National Lottery Community Fund - Awards for All.

The Assist Mental Health and Wellbeing Community Investment Fund provides support for people over the age of 18 through projects that demonstrate the promotion of positive lifestyles and reduces the risk of self-harm and suicides. The funding is provided by Lincolnshire County Council.

The Assist One-to-One Support Service Fund provides support for vulnerable people, including people who are in debt, people who are lonely, and people who are suffering from mental ill-health or other disabilities. The funding was provided by West Lindsey District Council.

The Library Fund provides funding to run a library service and for the provision of the building as a community accessible service.
