Chairman’s Report 2024- 2025 

Welcome to you all.I feel sad to say that we are so few. 

The past year has been very quiet sad to sad to say we have lost more member who have past away. 

Last year we lost our treasurer who served us for many years.Our new treasurer-had not being as active as we would like so we need a new treasurer who would take more interest. 

It is in everyone's interest to contribute in the offices of our organization so that we can thrive. I am sure you have read the treasurers report and we need to consider seriously the future of our organization. 

I have made it no secret that I am in poor health and feel I can no longer carry on as chairman.I will support whoever is appointed as the new chairman but I feel that for me it is as much as I am able to do.I do hope you will understand. 

We have not heard from West Itchen Trust other than to say they are short of funds,so it looks as if we need to carry on as  we are with no input on the refurbishment.there are lots of work that we can do on the inside of the building-to make us more comfortable but we cannot do any work on the outside .Theses were-the instructions for West Itchen Trust.

- The Expenditure is extremely high 

- Income by comparison is low 

- There is a shortfall 

- We need a basic income-of £400 per month 

- BD was advised by an accountant that we need  to raise £200 per nonth but with inflation it has doubled 

- With 11 members we cant afford to keep the organization,this is not viable. 

- We  have  looked  at  options,eg  hiring  out  the  buildingtoother community groups but we didn’t think this was manageableat this time.
