|||||||Lunchtime<br>Concerts||
|||||||Our lunchtime<br>concerts have become an||
|||||||important<br>part ofour outreach<br>work.<br>We have||
|||||||found that many people are arriving<br>earlier and||
|||||||leaving later and enjoying the social aspect of||
|||||||the concerts as well as the music. The pre-||
|||||||concert refreshments<br>have become an||
|||||||opportunity<br>for people to meet and socialise||
|||||||and for some are the highlight<br>in their month.||
|||||||This series continues to attract localoffice||
|||||||workers,<br>a retired audience<br>from 65years to||
|||||||95+years, mothers<br>with toddlers,<br>local school||
|||||||groups and adults with severe disabilities.||
|||||||Ensemble<br>Reza are keen to promote<br>and||
|||||||nurture<br>young talented<br>musicians,<br>so local||
|||||||students took part in our lunchtime<br>concert||
|||||||series in May. This is always<br>a great||
|||||||opportunity<br>for students to try out different||
|||||||repertoire<br>and perform to a large audience.||

|Dec2019:School Concerts: Snowman<br>Tour||

|Following<br>a successful<br>Christmas concert in||
|2018and school pilot performance<br>ofthe||
|Snowman,<br>we secured funding to take the||
|Ensemble<br>Reza sextet on a tour ofS local||
|primary<br>schools (including<br>2 SEN schools) over||
|the course of 2 days.<br>In total we performed||
|our semi-staged<br>and Interactive<br>concert to over||
|890children,<br>aged between 4-18 and 128||
|adults<br>in 2 days. For some students<br>and||
|teachers,<br>it was the first time they had||
|experienced<br>live string instruments.||
|Teacher feedback: 'It was excellent, and Ireally||
|feel privileged<br>to have been able to enjoy such||
|a professional<br>performance'.||
|One teacher commented<br>that the music was|a|
|'fontastic<br>way tostart a Thursday<br>morning',||
|and this sentiment<br>was repeated<br>by other||
|students<br>and staff. 562 children completed|our|
|questionnaire<br>and 94%said that the concert||
|made them feel happy and relaxed.||
|Evening Concerts||
|Evening concerts have either been self-||
|promoted<br>or sponsored<br>by music||
|societies/clubs/festivals.<br>Our Cuckfield||
|concerts included<br>a performance<br>at the||
|Cuckfield<br>Music Festival<br>in collaboration<br>with||
|the Horsham<br>Symphony<br>Orchestra<br>(June 2019)||
|and our own self-promoted<br>Candlelit concert||
|(Nov 2019)both to sell-out audiences ofover||
|220 people at each event. A further concert||
|had been planned<br>for March 2020, but this|was|
|cancelled<br>due to the Covid Crisis.||

|The Reza Community<br>Orchestra<br>still continues||
