Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:for The Benefit Of The Residents Of The Borough Of Ashford (kent), The Surrounding Areaand In Such Other Parts Of The United Kingdom In Accordance With The Spiritual Vision Andchristian Principles Of The Baptist Union Of Great Britain In The Following Ways:(1) To Advance In Life And Relieve The Needs Of Young People Through:(a) The Promotion Of Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Provided In Theinterest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life;(b) Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities Andcapabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsibleindividuals.(2) To Relieve People In Need, By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability, Financialhardship Or Other Disadvantage.
