We employ Tina 8 days p/m to support with co-ordinating our fundraising events, to apply for grants, to manage our social media and website, and other administrative tasks linked to the day-to-day running’s of the charity. She keeps a log of work completed and continues to develop her skills and network by applying for free courses when available.

As a small charity we have not felt it necessary to appoint any other trustees. This is something that we will consider in the future as the charity grows.

We have developed good working relationships with other charities e.g. CSSEF, Auditory Verbal UK, Changing Faces, National Deaf Children’s Society, CLAPA, Face Equality National (which we sponsor) and BATOD and these have led to various continued collaborations. The same applies to CAR and Aston University for research studies.

Section C Objectives and activities

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

To relieve the physical and psychological needs of those with microtia in the UK by helping them to make informed choices about their treatment options and by facilitating the dissemination of research results relating to the condition.

kindly funded.

a range of talks from medical professionals and those born with microtia to talk
about lived experiences. The day was a huge success with hearing aid
companies sponsoring the day as well.

families volunteered their time to ask local buildings to light up in orange for
microtia awareness day. We shall continue the tradition and have more
buildings do the same next year.
Northern Ireland held their own mingle event in August 2023.We were really
pleased to see families come together for the event and we have offered to
support them with plans for another Mingle event next year.
