## **Treasurer's Report for the year ended 31st December 2024** At the year end, subscriptions plus donations were similar to 2023 levels, taking advance payments into account (see note to accounts). During the year, we received a generous legacy of £10,000 from a former member which we plan to use for a History Boards project. The duck race in June was successful, generating a surplus of approximately £7,000. During the year, we made charitable donations of £3,000. An exceptional payment of £1,200 was approved by the membership as a contribution towards the funeral of former Secretary and Trustee David Cooke. Overall, there was a cash surplus for the year, and reserves are currently above £70,000. Out of this total, in addition to the £10,000 for the History Board project, £5,000 is reserved for future maintenance of Riverhill and other footpaths, £40,000 is for Green Belt and planning support, and £3,000 is for other planned projects. The remaining general reserve will cover other expenses and future project work.
