Structure, Governance and Management
Revive Ramsey T/A Ramsey Foodbank is a charitable organisation governed by its constitution adopted on 14/5/2014. The charity is managed by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the foodbank, ensuring good governance, safeguarding assets, and overseeing financial management.
Trustees are appointed in line with the governing document and bring a range of skills and experience relevant to the operation of a community foodbank. New trustees receive an induction covering the charity’s objectives, policies, safeguarding responsibilities, and financial controls.
The trustees meet regularly throughout the year to review operations, assess risks, monitor finances, and ensure compliance with charity law. Day-to-day operations are supported by volunteers and, where applicable, a small number of paid staff.
Objectives and Activities
The primary objective of Ramsey Foodbank is to relieve poverty and hardship by providing emergency food and practical support to individuals and families in need within the local community.
During the year ended 31 March 2025, the charity carried out the following main activities in furtherance of its objectives:

Distribution of emergency food parcels to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship

Working in partnership with referral agencies such as local authorities, schools, health professionals, and community organisations

Providing signposting and support to help beneficiaries access longer-term assistance, including welfare advice and debt support

Engaging with the local community to raise awareness of food poverty and encourage donations and volunteering
Achievements and Performance
During the reporting period, Ramsey Foodbank continued to experience high levels of demand for its services, reflecting the ongoing impact of the cost-of-living crisis on local households.
Key achievements during the year included:

Providing emergency food support to approximately 1446 individuals, including 555 children.

Distributing 10,485 kg of food across the year

Expanding partnerships with local referral agencies to ensure timely and appropriate support

Maintaining a strong volunteer base, with over twelve volunteers contributing their time and skills
The trustees are proud of the dedication shown by volunteers and supporters, whose commitment enabled the foodbank to respond effectively to increased demand while maintaining dignity and compassion for those accessing support.
Financial Review
The charity’s total income for the year was £45,163 (2024: £17,349), primarily derived from public donations, grants, and community fundraising activities. Total expenditure for the year amounted to £33,952 (2024: £42,799), largely relating to food purchases, storage and distribution costs, and essential operational expenses.
The charity recorded a surplus of £11,212 for the year. At 31 March 2025, unrestricted reserves stood at £36,454.
The trustees have reviewed the reserves policy and aim to maintain reserves sufficient to cover approximately six months of operating costs to ensure continuity of services during periods of uncertainty.
The charity has no significant long-term liabilities and continues to manage its resources prudently. The trustees believe the charity is a going concern and is well positioned to meet its obligations for the foreseeable future.
Public Benefit Statement
The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The provision of emergency food and related support directly benefits individuals and families facing financial hardship, helping to alleviate hunger and distress while supporting wider community wellbeing.

Trustee Remuneration and Related Party Transactions
No trustee received remuneration or other benefits from the charity during the year. There were no related party transactions involving trustees during the reporting period.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (UK GAAP).
