Stroud Handball Trustees have provided activities which have helped promote physical, mental and social well being through playing Handball. The club has run weekly Handball sessions which are open to all adult members of the community and have welcomed many new participants over the course of the year.

Following on from the pandemic, we were able to resume all activities including U12, U14, U16, U19, Senior and recreational training sessions. We also restarted outreach programmes in local schools to introduce more young people to Handball.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

Our U12 and recreational sessions were the biggest successes, as these had both stopped prior to the pandemic, so getting them restarted, and with good participation levels was a benefit to the whole community.

## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

Restarting all of our community sessions, with very good retention rates for participation, following on from the pandemic was a major achievement.

As a result, our female youth teams both performed successfully in the EHA National leagues, with U19s finishing 2[nd] in the country, and U16s finishing 3[rd] in the country. Our Senior Women’s team also qualified for the Southern League 1, finishing 4[th] .

We also partnered with a number of schools around the county, with 5 teams successfully qualifying for the National finals. Out partner teams came away in total with 2 silver and 1 bronze medal.

A number of youth players also earned selection for the Great Britain age group squads over the course of the season.
