Trustee’s are appointed on the basis of where the need arises. So far, the charity is managed by a mother and son team who are committed to the welfare of the local community.

The main activities for public benefit is to donate recycled furniture to those in need thus reducing the amount of furniture that ends up as landfill.
We also support individual’s emotional needs by offering a free counselling service.
The trustee’s have had guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission.

The contribution made by volunteers primarily involves the restoration of donated furniture to bring it up to a standard where it can be donated to those in need.
Volunteers also co-ordinate the delivery of furniture to those in need. Additionally, the new counselling service is run free of charge by the volunteers.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
We provide donations primarily of furniture to those in need following crisis or challenging life events.
The main achievement of the year is we have set up a regular outreach day each week to work with the local community. We have expanded in donating products such as sleeping bags, tents, clothing etc that we also collect ready for distribution.
We are also offering a free of charge counselling service to those in need by one of our trustee’s who has a degree in counselling and psychotherapy.
