CHAIRMAN’S REPORT – 2022
The Society has been pleased to have been able to stage the annual Eastrington Agricultural Show & Family Fun Day again after the pandemic!
The Annual Dinner Dance was held at The Eastrington Village Hall, as in earlier years. It was well organised by Emma Gamble & Maria Sissons. Attendance was very good and a good evening was had by all!
The 2022 Eastrington Agricultural Show was blessed with good weather.
Everyone seemed to be happy to be able to get out and about again and we had very good attendance and the new attractions of live music and the brass band had been very well received. Pony Club Show Jumping Classes and the Produce Classes were well supported, along with the usual traditional attractions.
Howden & District Riding Club held a fun dog show to raise funds for their own organisation and this was very well attended, with a lot of people entering their pet dogs.
As usual, the cattle showing had good entries, being well organised as always by the White Family. Our thanks go to Pam White and Sons, Oliver and Christian.
The accounts show a loss this year. This was due to a increase in costs generally, and a reduction in sponsorship levels, which is to be expected after the last 2 years difficult trading period for most businesses. We look forward to next year’s show which is already being planned to be better than ever!
