Trustee report 2020

The Ella Roberta Family Foundation (ERFF) works to promote, educate and research causes and prevention of asthma within South East London. ERFF raise’s awareness in local schools, at community events, and are involved in the new asthma took-kit implementation. ERFF holds sponsor events and have bought medical and play equipment for Lewisham Hospital children departments.

The foundation is looking to actively grow its trustee and management base in 2021 following a successful year and a re-emergence from Covid-19.

Activity

Due to the unforeseen restrictions and uncertainty caused by Covid-19 the charities in real life activity was suspended. The founder continued to generate vital press and raise awareness, much like the rest of the country this work was done online. The profile of the Foundation continued to grow with further increase in traffic to social media platforms and the website.

Despite the obvious challenges we feel the charity has continued to deliver public benefit through raising awareness and continuing to research causes and prevention of asthma.

The charity was successful in raising funds that were used to maintain an office throughout lockdowns and relevant equipment. The large underspend was due to ongoing social restrictions across the U.K and will be spent in 2021 against charitable objectives. The financial performance is amongst the foundations strongest to date giving an indication of its growing ability to deliver against its
