|||||(a) UVS committee<br>have scrutinised<br>planning<br>applications<br>in the area||

|||||and raised observations<br>when relevant.<br>Building work and use of||
|||||premises<br>have been monitored<br>and, when regulations<br>are being||
|||||contravened,<br>the relevant<br>authorities<br>have been notified with reference|to|

|||||(b) UVS magazine<br>has been published<br>three times this year and has||
|||||included<br>articles on local history and the natural<br>history ofthe area. UVS||
|||||supports<br>the publication<br>ofbooks, pamphlets,<br>and information<br>leatlets||
|||||about the area, all available at local outlets.||
|||||(c) UVS has funded a grounds<br>maintenance<br>programme<br>to cover areas||
|||||ofthe village not currently<br>maintained<br>by the council. Volunteers<br>from||
|||||UVS have carried out repair and maintenance<br>tasks within the area.||

The<br>UVS supports<br>the village Neighbourhood<br>Watch group and has<br>supported<br>the dissemination<br>of NHW news. The UVS committee has<br>worked<br>with North Somerset Community<br>Response<br>Department<br>to<br>reduce the incidences ofdog fouling<br>in the area. Awareness<br>stickers<br>have been increased<br>and regular patrols are being undertaken.<br>Members<br>are assisting the process by providing<br>details ofhotspots to the relevant<br>department.||

|||||clearance'<br>event in March.||

||||e|In consultation<br>with the UVS, the local council has started carried||
|||||out repairs and improvements<br>to the play areas within the village||
|||||park. New fencing has been installed<br>around the play areas and||
|||||the play equipment<br>and soft play surfaces have been repaired.||
||||~|The UVS continued<br>to coordinate<br>help forthose residents<br>who||
|||||had to self isolate by arranging<br>for volunteers<br>to assist with tasks||
|||||including<br>shopping<br>and collecting prescriptions<br>etc.||
||||~|The UVS has been working<br>with the Church Conservation<br>Trust to||
|||||try and resolve the issue of no electricity supply to the St Nicholas||
|||||Church on the hill, due to damaged cables. This has involved|the|
|||||UVS in trying to coordinate<br>between the various interested||
|||||parties.||
