**Summary of the main** Attendance at public events to educate the public about veterinary **achievements of the charity** specialists was undertaken. Informal meetings at species specific **during the year** veterinary conferences occurred to ensure specialists were aware of the objectives of the charity and the benefits of membership. There has been continued dialogue with other learned bodies including the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and British Veterinary Association to ensure specialist representation and that the public remain properly informed about veterinary specialists and the care that they can provide.
