Tipton Food Bank: Trustees, Annual Report During the year 202 5 we served 1549 Adults and 1200 Cl]ildren with 17666Kgs of Food and 13 57Kgs of Non-Food items (toiletries etc). This is very much like the demand through the food bank in 2024. There has been an increase in the numbers of single people attending the bank through the year and (388) and at total of 4839Kgs was issued to these individuals. Many of these people would be described as NEET and a significant number stated they were unemployed because of mental health issues. tn the main we serve towns which comprise The Black Country: Sandwell (West Bromwich. Wednesbury, Tipton), Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton and parts of West Birn]ingham. The following table highlights how food was issued during the year by Tesidence of recipients. Although Tipton Food Bank serves the wider Black Country. its main service is to Sandwell and Tipton in particul with almost 75% of food allocation gojng to Sandwell Cents. The centre had been rnaged by charity backed by a Jimited company alld was registered at Charity Commission and Companies House. It transpired that the management of this organisation had been struck off by Companies House for non-submission of returns. This meant thai the rur]ng of the community centre has now been taken over by Sandwell MBC pro tem," our tenancy has been cOnfed by Sandwell
Tipton Food Bank: Trustees, Annual Report During the year we have had eleven volunteers and four trustees. The mistees meet regulaTly each quarter to discuss ajl aspects of Tipton Food Bank induding finance, volunteers. risks which nY jeopardise our work. During the year, one church in Tipton has been offering free tickets to clients for a "Fish and Chip. meal which has been fully funded by the church. There are no major difficulties at present and the trustees agreed that, for the future, Tipton Food Bank was a going concern offering help to those who need it most in these days of economic stress.
