The trust also receives funds on behalf of the Ecological Land Cooperative. These are held in the Ecological Land Trust’s bank account until they are drawn down by the cooperative. This year, £2,500 was drawn down to pay for an ecological survey at our Arlington site.

To advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment and to promote study and research in such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated to the public at large.
The Ecological Land Trust has been engaged in supporting the charitable work of the Ecological Land Cooperative to conserve and protect the natural environment, in the form of an ecological baseline survey on an Ecological Land Cooperative smallholding site.

This year the trust has been successful in attracting funding to support the work of the Ecological Land Cooperative.

We have been successful in raising funding for ecological surveys, conservation work, tree planting and biodiversity enhancement and we carried out work across our sites in 2020 to plant trees and create new habitats. The main expenditure in 2020 was for an ecological baseline survey at Martinsfield, Arlington.
