Public benefit statement
In setting our objectives and planning our activities our Trustees have given serious consideration to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit.
Achievements and performance
We are pleased to report that over the last year, we have been able to get back to our normal activities, following the lockdowns and restrictions last year due to Covid.
This has been a milestone year for our club as we celebrated our 20th anniversary and we were grateful to be able to hold our annual football tournament and a charity dinner to celebrate.
Our tournament was more popular than ever and was fully booked up by clubs attending from across the UK. After not being able to hold our tournament in 2020, it was fantastic to see everybody again and the Bradford pantomime legend Billy Pearce came along as a special guest.
We returned to our usual training venue at Bradford College in May and we would like to thank Fields Sports & Social Club and Southfield Grange for hosting us whilst Bradford College’s facilities were closed for refurbishment.
Our member’s committee have come up with some great ideas for social activities and trips this year, we have had walks in the outdoors, trips to watch England U21’s, an evening out to watch wrestling, 10 pin bowling evenings, crazy golf matches, a trip to the pantomime and many others.
In September we announced our new kit sponsorship with Powersheds and eBay. Sky Sports attended one of our training sessions to film an advert which appeared regularly on TV. Bayo Akinfenwa was the host for the session and he was a great sport, our members loved meeting him
As part of the new sponsorship we were fortunate to be invited along to Bradford City’s final game of the season at Valley Parade as VIP’s and we got to meet a player before the match for a Q&A session.
