Appointment of charity trustees Trustee selection methods (1) At the first annual general meeting of the members of the CIO all the (eg. appointed by, elected by) charity trustees shall retire from office; (2) The charity trustees to retire by rotation shall be those who have been longest in office since their last appointment or reappointment. If any trustees were last appointed or reappointed on the same day those to retire shall (unless they otherwise agree among themselves) be determined by lot; (3) The vacancies so arising may be filled by the decision of the members at the annual general meeting; any vacancies not filled at the annual general meeting may be filled as provided in sub-clause (5) of this clause; (4) The members or the charity trustees may at any time decide to appoint a new charity trustee; whether in place of a charity trustee who has retired or been removed in accordance with clause 15 (Retirement and removal of charity trustees), or as an additional trustee, provided that the limit specified in clause 12(3) on the number of charity trustees would not as a result be exceeded; (5) A person so appointed by the members of the CIO shall retire in accordance with the provisions of sub-clauses (2) and (3) of this clause. **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

Donations With A Difference is a grant making trust supporting general charitable purposes. It is the policy of the trustees to make grants to a wide range of charitable bodies and individuals. 

Grants are made primarily, but not limited to, registered charities, charitable organisations and individuals in the UK within the following funding areas; Physical Health, Mental Health & Education.

The charity continues to raise funds in numerous ways by running various events as described in “Section D Achievements and performance”. Some of the sporting events not only raise funds for the charity but also improves and encourages physical health. 

The funds are used for grants which we receive online through our website at the following address: - https://donationswithadifference.org/grant application/ 

Grants in 2021 were as follows:

**Daley’s car seat - £264** 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

Daley has significant delay in social communication skills and has non-verbal meltdowns. The family need a car seat that he cannot climb out of for his own safety and we purchased a Cybex Pallas S-Fix Group 1/2/3 Car Seat from Kiddies Kingdom for the family to use 

## **PJ Stilwell - £1,500** 

PJ has outgrown his wheelchair of teenage years and his father approached us to request support to purchase a second hand recycled wheelchair that satisfies PJ’s needs and now affords PJ independence to go outdoors beyond his garden safely with his new wheelchair 

## **Canterbury Rugby Club - £1,000** 

We provided a defibrillator to one of our local rugby clubs after they experienced a tragic event where a player died during a game and now they have a desire to have enough defibrillators for all levels of the game so trained personnel can react to such situations that require this to help save a life. 

## **Alex Ivil – Chalkhill Farm - £630** 

Alex attends Chalkhill Farm to help with his condition of autism with psychosis. At Chalkhill Farm they use the Thrive Approach to support children who have been traumatised and help them process what has happened. Alex will be attending during the 2022 Winter term. 

## **Ruben Harris - £528** 

Ruben is disabled and competes in disabled tennis and has an ambition to compete at the highest level in his sport. We bought him blaze pods to assist with his strength and stamina training to help him in achieving this goal.

**Only a Pavement Away, & Hospitality Action - £190** 

To support a partner, KBE Drinks Ltd we held many quizzes during lockdown and  our Treasurer also ran them for his colleagues at KBE and they paid via the same method to us, but ultimately to be passed on to the three charities they support.

The charity had great success throughout _previous years_ with fundraising throughout the following events: Golf Days Charity Ball On line quizzes Nominated charity funding. Special events nominating us as the benefactor charity 

During the course of 2021 our primary focus has continued to be to manage the grant fund we had generated in 2019 wisely, given we had to suspend nearly all forms of fundraising due to the pandemic. The charity does not have a specific policy regards reserves. It is the responsibility of the treasurer to maintain enough money in the bank accounts to fund all forthcoming grants and/or expenses. No grants are awarded without first a monthly review of funds available for the pending decisions. At no point during the financial period was the account overdrawn.

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
{"Ihe Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under seolion 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Direcliong given by the Charity Commission
under section 145{5llbl of the Act.
Independent trhe charity's gross income exceeded £250,000 and l am qualified to
examiner's statement undertake the examination by being a qualified member of linsert name of
