In planning our activities, the Trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit and in particular to its supplementary public benefit guidance.
Throughout the 2022 /23 year the Charity has not raised money to make donations to the school and other individuals. Due to the after affects of Covid we have had no fundraising opportunities confirmed.

The Board will consider applications requesting assistance / funding taking into account each individual application’s compliance with our constitution objects; cost of application against benefit to recipient and the ability to fund the application in full or part. In determining the suitability of an application consideration will also be given to the possibility of applying to other Charities to fully or part fund the request or for it to be looked at as a project for targeted fundraising activities. We will assess each individual request so that every application is treated equally, fairly and consistently to ensure the most appropriate use of the charity’s funds in accordance with our own constitution and the best practice guidance of the Charity Commission.

The committee has recently met and recruited new trustees and will be relaunching the charity with advertising and planning a relaunch event. Awards made this year were: Award – Bunk Bed £514.00 Clothes £250.00 Mattress £99.00

Halloween / valentines discos – These have been well received over the years we have been organising them and provide parents / carers with a safe environment to socialise with others in a similar situation. This also provides support and reduces isolation which is often felt by these families.
The events above have been successful in previous years and the trustees will be working towards organising these for the next academic year.
