of COVID-19
In 2021 COVID-19 s￿nifiCanty disTUPted our abilty to deliver activity towards our
tharity oty"eGtNes compared to prevKJus years. Thanthlly we received a COVI[
19 relief grant from Arts Counal of Wales in latter part of 2020, and this activity
extended into the earty part of 2021. This was followed by tsvo SU￿sS￿J1 Cultural
Recovery Grants (CRF 1 & 2) that insured the conts"nuation of the organisation
but not offer us much in the way of project fvnding to deliver large amounts of
tivty. COVltk19 n￿nt the closure of National Lottery Project Grants in Wabes
throughout 2020 and 2021. As a resuffj our average rel￿ffroM Theatre Tax
Rel￿f (rrR) of £18.000, was redU￿d to £2,000 in 2021 land even more for the
following year}. Claims made to HM Revenue & Custont% for TTR replenish our
unrestythd reserves position and is therefore a vital part of the ￿MpanY'S
financial model. Whthout the unrestricted reserves. the abilty to apply for project
grants. and ￿la1-diStanC1ng reststions in placÈ in such a small venue, the
delivery of athTty in 2021 was reduced, but while we could undertake activity to
the scale we would have liked. we stsll managed to make some offering in relation
to our oty'ectives.
