with us fluctuated at around 75-80 during
the year. Almost all the members are
under 21, but adults who want to join are
welcomed too. A ”masters” session was
restarted in Dec 2024.

integrated in the club’s activities.

Coaching is provided at below cost
price, the difference being made up by
fundraising and donations.

Free membership continued to be
offered to refugees from the war in
Ukraine.

It also ran three “introduction to club
swimming” courses, each lasting about
eight weeks, aimed at giving children who
were drawing to the end of basic
swimming lessons a taste of swimming as
a sport. These courses were completely
free to the participants.

In addition, it supported about 25
swimmers from a neighbouring club while

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 • The club aims approximately to
financial position at the end break even over the year, excluding
of the period
investment in capital items or other
payments of long-term benefit.
• The main expenses are coaching
costs and pool hire.
• After making a significant loss in
2022-3, the club succeeded in coming
back into balance in 2023-24. It did
unexpectedly well in 2024-25, thanks to an
increase in the number of “membership
only” swimmers, who joined to be able to
compete while their main club was become
registered with Swim England.
• The club made a net profit of about
£5.7k in 24-25.
The club’s balance sheet shows reserves
of about £20k.

Res ective res onsibilities of the trustees and the examiner The Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statement. You consider that the audit requirement of s.144(2) of the Charities Act does not apply. It is my responsibility to issue this report on those accounts in accordan￿ with the terms of the Regulations. Basis of this re ort My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under s.145(5)(b) of the Act. That examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts with those records. It also includes considering any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
