DIRECTOR’S REPORT FOR APRIL 2024 TO APRIL 2025
Krivnya Orphanage
We did not embark on a building project this year. Instead, we took a small team of young men to run an activities week for the children. This was an outstanding success. All the children engaged with the activities and had great fun. Sometimes, just playing with the children can be more valuable to them than painting a bedroom or similar. A fantastic week which blessed the team as much as the children.
M&N Support
We continued our support for this family unit but have begun the process of tapering down so that they do not become reliant on charity help. This has been working as the requests for support have reduced. The family continue to face medical issues but are managing, on the whole, to finance these themselves. We are delighted that they are beginning to stand on their own two feet which must be very empowering for them.
BI Support
This was a pivotal year in BI’s care. After a lot of hard work, a place was found in a home very close to where BI has spent the last 5 years. This was excellent news as it meant BI could still attend the various clubs where such strong bonds and friendships had been made. It also means that the charity can continue to be actively involved in his life. BI has settled in very well and is loved by both staff and residents. He is as happy now as he has ever been and it is a joy to see him flourish and live life to the full.

NOTES
During the year a total of £589.99 was sent to M & N (via Western Union) to support the family. The Bobby fund was fully used supporting his care. A new Bobby fund was set up to cover the costs of his naturalisation
