Trustee selection methods
- Except for the initial charity trustees, each trustee must be
(eg. appointed by, elected by) appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees.
- When selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the trustees must consider the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for the effective administration of the CIO.

Organisational structure remains as a board of trustees with no paid executive.
The working groups/management committees are underway to help further the work of the charity. Current polices are under review.
New terms and conditions for membership have been developed. Regular online educational talks are being developed.

Regular activities:
There was no symposium in 2024. It was felt that the plans for symposia required review for two reasons: 1. Cost of living crisis. 2. Suitable venues. It was therefore proposed that symposia will be delayed and the online talks will continue. Summary of the main The BWRC has continued to adhere to its core values in the promotion of achievements of the charity best practise and highest standards for wildlife welfare in rehabilitation during the year and rescue centres throughout the UK Our membership has grown significantly and there has been some effective listening sessions between trustees and members to understand how we can best assist in providing support and advice for emerging and re-emerging problems. Production of newsletters for members. Delivery of online talks by sector experts. Trustees met regularly to discuss and plan future activities and initiatives. We have actively engaged with key stakeholders in Government, learned organisations and charities to establish more effective working relationships and partnerships.

Brief statement of the The reserves, generated through donations and memberships (both charity’s policy on reserves associate and organisational), are utilised to cover costs directly associated with the charity's operations. This includes expenses for trustee training, travel, and work-related activities specific to BWRC. Additionally, funds are allocated for the production of newsletters, promotional materials, and to offset any deficits from BWRC training events and meetings.
