TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT 2024 – 2025
CATS IN CARE
As of May 31[st] we had a total of 13 cats in foster, of which 7 are permanent foster cats.
CATS REHOMING
As of 31[st] May, a total of 64 cats have found new homes, ranging from kittens to a 19 year old cat. We had 5 cats humanely PTS.
THE SHOP
We currently have 13 volunteers and 1 supervisor.
We now have a regular presence on social media, enabling us to reach more customers, sell online and gain more supporters. We have a team of 3 undertaking this.
We have a busy and successful platform on Vinted and Ebay, amassing several sales per week.
The shop had to close temporarily in April due to a major flood. Insurance covered some of the damage and the landlord has now renewed the roof.
Our Monday craft group is still going strong with 5 regular participants.
OTHER FUNDRAISING
We had a successful winter fayre and raffle, amassing over £500.
We regularly sell online, Ebay and vinted.
We hold auctions every three months, bringing in approx. £500 per auction.
We have applied for three grants but thus far have been unsuccessful.

OUTREACH
We have a team who continue to attend stray, lost, deceased and injured cats, dealing appropriately with each case. We have purchased a new humane trap and have trained 2 fosterers in a microchipping course.

We have been working with a business coach to further grow the charity. Applying for grants, help with accounting, networking, social media training, amongst others.
We have a dedicated website associate who keeps everything looking nice and doing regular updates.
We are, as ever, trying to find new ways to look for volunteers, and have a couple of stalls at local events to fulfil this.

The trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 May 2025.
Principal Activity
The charity’s principal activity is to aid and rescue cats in need, both locally and across the UK.
Chair’s Report

VOLUNTEERS
We continue to recruit volunteers for many roles, including fostering, shop assistants, and are also seeking someone to oversee outside events, and to assist with social media. We also hope to find someone who can do public speaking events for us in the future.

1. Accounting Policies
1.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
1.2. Turnover
Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the charity, net of Value Added Tax and trade discounts.

The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
