closed during
much of the reporting
period

with government
guidelines
and to ensure the safety and| ||||||welfare of all coaches and members.| ||||||The Trustees
have had little option
but to keep the club closed as social| ||||||distancing
and PPE requirements
have remain
unworkable
for an| ||||||amateur
boxing club. Undoubtedly
this has had a detrimental
impact both
mentally
and physically
on all involved
with the club. However, these are| ||||||the same issues faced by most sports clubs during
this period so cannot| ||||||be looked upon
in isolation.| ||||||The club re-opened
towards the end ofthe reporting
period, observing
those government
requirements
that were still in place, and did not close
during the summer
holidays as has traditionally
been the case. This
afforded boxers an opportunity
to continue
training
after a long period of
inactivity. The club is hopeful that member
numbers
will increase to Pre-| ||||||Pandemic
levels within a relatively
short timeframe.| ||||||2. Initiatives| ||||||The club continues
to support the Box Cleva initiative,
although
this could| ||||||not operate while the club was closed. This programme
provides
discipline
and self-worth
to the targeted
participants,
who are children| ||||||between
the ages of7 to 14.The focus is on non-contact
beginners| ||||||boxing classes based on traditional
values of boxing, discipline,
hard| ||||||work, respect and appreciation
for your fellow sportsperson.| ||||||Many ofthe attendees
come to the programme
referred
by social| ||||||services, the police or from schools. This coaching provides
them an| ||||||outlet to channel
their focus and develop themselves
as individuals.| ||||||The traditional
amateur
boxing calendar ofevents was unable to be| ||||||staged
during the lockdown
period. The club is hopeful
that normal| ||||||competition
activities
will resume
now that the club has reopened. The| ||||||coaches expect competition
success will follow, underlining
their belief in| ||||||the skill and dedication
that most ofthe junior boxers possess.| ||||||The club holds cash at bank of f17,468 at the end ofthe year,

funds. These funds are held to meet any| |charity's||policy on reserves|||unforeseen
expenditure
and are available
at immediate
notice if| ||||||required.| ||||||The Trustees
have not set a minimum

taken
