The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in the ChariW5 governing document and applicable law and the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice"Accounting and Reporting by Charitles" Issued In March 2005. STRucfuRE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT. Governin8 Document The AFM IM IUK) Gethsemane (Northampton) Assembly was re8lStered as a trust on the 1st of July 2014. The charity is governed by the Trust deed for the purposes of the advancement of Christian Religion according to the Holy Scriptures as contained In our statement of Faith. Structure The AFM IM IUKI Geth5emane (Northamptonl Assembly Is run by a committee of5even members which ère supervised by the Board of trustees (One paid and six unpaldl to make sure the running of the organization is in accordance with the laws of the country as gulded by the Charities commission. Advance the Chrlstlan rellglon 8ased on the advancement of the Christian religion, teachings will be done covering a wide range of areas such as: al Contributing to the deepening understandin8 and acceptance of the Christian religion and helping individuals to learn about the Christian Faith and develop their spiritual lives. bl. Equipping the general public and followers on the human rights. religious or racial agreement. equality and or diversity as required all through the love according to the Holy Scriptures. c). Undertaking educationall training sessions on how to alleviate poverty within followers and general public, teaching them to be self sufficient and usin8 their skills. IE.g. to reduce the amount of people relying on benefits from the government).

The charity continues to support other churches with organs that support the less privileged in Northampton with food parcels. bl- The charity established & maintains ¢onta¢t and a workin8 relationship with the organ of the Northamptonshlre County Council in order to be involved in any charitsble work that may be available to create a better and cleaner communlty as and when the work is available. cl. The charily youth group continue5 to get involved in fund raisin8 for the Alzheimer's society by involving other youths from various groups within the communlty.
  3. Recreation al. Promotlng the happiness and enjoyment of the followers and the general members of community which helps to alleviate tresses and depressions. This is continuously done by undertaking & engaging the followers & general members in outdoor artivities. However, due to COVID 19, this was imparted, and we had to change to meeting virtually during the lockdown. When planning activities for the year. the trustees considered the Commission's guidance on public benefit and. in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. ACHIEVEMENTS & PERFOMANCE: The Charity conducted all its church service5, prayer 5e55ions and Bible study virtually throughout the year due to COVID -19 lockdown restrictions. The impact of the COVID19 pandemic has left a heavy toll on the Charity and Its people. The restrictions impacted the mental well-being of the member5 a5 they were not able to meet and interact socially as Ejefore. The Charity leaders were not able to physicall¥ vi51t people who have been afferted by the pandemi¢ to give moral and spiritual support to them a5 they previous did prior to Covid 19. Charitable Support l. The charity maintained established contatts and a working relationship with the organ of the Northampton County Council in order to be involved in any charitable work that may be available to create a better and cleaner community in Northampton however lockdown restrictions significantly reduced the engagement.

  4. The Charity supported the BAME elderly, youth, and young adults from the church and local communlty with food hampers, and transport to hospitsl appointments. companionship and welfare checks though thls was Impacted by the Covld-19 restrictions.

The Charity supported the young people through empowerin8 them in various trainings and ernpowerrnent seminars such as career guidance, money mana8ement, interview coaching, relatlonshlps and good cltSzenry all done vlrtually because of the Lockdown restrlctlons. Recreatlon al. The charity had set up health and wellbeing team which supports and promotes the wellbeing of people in the church and community. This would have been done through walking and cycling groups, promoting health eating and wellbeing but Covid-19 pandemic meant this was not possible durlng the year. bl. The charity over the years 5UPPOrted the Elderly to take up fitness classes such as swimming, walking and keeping fit sessions however this was not possible in the year due to Covid-19 pandemic. The charity like many Church organisations had its activitles impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and had to carry Out most of its activities virtually throughout the year. FINANCIAL REVIEW: Incorne The charity relie5 on the voluntary tithing and offerings of its members as taught from the scriptures and on other fundraising activlties for its incoming resources and this was significantlv impacted bythe COVID-19 pandemic. Church running costs reduced from £31,930120201 to £8.699120211 Spiritual Leadership costs were increased from £1.29712020) to £11.099120211 Conference fees reduced from £3,790120201 to £Nil120211 The trustees continues to monltorthe choritsble expenditure to ensure efficiency and sustainability and for more detalls see the flnancial reports below. ReseNes Policy The charity reviews the level of funds in reserve whith is the amount of unrestricted funds that are between three and four months of recurrent operating expenses for the current financial year. To ensure the financial stability of the charity, the charity accounts will maintain a Minimum of two months expendlture in reserve. The trustees will monitor the actual Income and expenditure quarterly to ensure adherence to the free reserve pollry. PLANS FOR THE FUTURE: The Charlty continues to seek to purchase a permanent place of worshlp. In the year. the Charity has not been able to actively search forthe plao of worship due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, the charity hopes to contlnue to work towards securing it5 own place to operate from in the future. The charity has already embarked on a fundraising campaign towards its own place of worship. Once the charity flnds a place there will be need to raise more funds in order to sustaSn some of the charitable artivities. Therefore, such a place will be on offered to the general public in the community for use at an affordable flnancial donation. The donation will be considered by the trustees to make sure it is not out of reach for the general public that may wish to make use of such facility. The trustees will also make Sure that those living below poverty line can benefit from such a facility by maklng sure it IS 5Ultable for such purpose such as giving shelter to the homeless.
