The trustees present their report along with the finallcial statements of the charity for the year ended 31
December 2024. The statements have been prq)ared in accordance with the statement of recommended practice
for Accounting and Reporting by Charities.
Constitution and Objects
Kilburn Welfare Association was constituted on 01 September 2009 and Rcgistcred with ChaTity Commission
since l July 2014 under a trust deed and registered Charity No. 1157660.
The objects of the charity arc:
A) To relive povcty and financial hardship
B) To pmtect, preserve, and propagate the beliefs of Islam in accordance with the teachings of the Holy
Quran and the example and t￿chIngS of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions.
C) To advance education and provide places of worship and teaching.
D) Facilitate five daily prayers.
E) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation or other
leisure time occupation of individuals who are in need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age,
infirniity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their
conditions of life also cncouraging Muslim ¢hil(tren and adults to become responsible human beings
and to contribute positively to society at large.
F) Promoting knowledge and mutual understanding of respect of the belief and practices of different
religious faiths, particularly the Muslim faith.
Organisation
The trustees named on page I have served throughout the period. Appointmcnt of trustccs is governed by the
Trust Deed of the Charity. The board of trnstees is authorized to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies arriving
through rcsignation or dcath of cxisting trustecs.
Reserves and Reserves Policy
Kilburn Welfare Association is committed to using its resources in pursuit of its charitable objects. It is also
committed, howcvcr, to maintaining a level of reservcs that is prudent to me¢t ongoing liabilities, sufficient to
ensurc that all service dclivery ¢ommitnJents can be rnet and to protect the long-terni future of our operations.
Kilburn Welfare Association's reserves policy seeks to balance these priorities by holding a level of reserves
sufficient to:
Ensure the availability of sufficient working funds in hand.
Provide a cushion in case of unexpected loss of income to ensure that services can be maintained.
Provide sufficient funds for an orderly winding-down in th¢ cvcnt of a need to ccasc activity.
The trustees rcvicw the sktuation on a regular basis and take immediate Corrective action as and when ne¢essary.

Risk Statement
The trustees have examined the major strategic, business, and operational risks which th¢ charity faces and
confinn that systems have been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that the necessary steps
can be taken to lessen those risks.
Financial Information and Futhre Developments
We are looking to buy a premises where we can continue to run a new mosque and Islamic ccntre and havc
been requesting our Muslim community for making generous (tonations. We are focusing to build up a fund to
fulfil our ambition.
Trustees Responsibillties in Relation to the Financial Stvdtements
The Charities Act requires the Committee Members to pr¢paTc financial statements for each fmancial year
which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial
statements thc Committce Mcmbcrs are required to:
Select suitable accounting policies, apply them consistently and state them in the financial statements.
State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures
disclosed and cxplaincd in the financial statements. and
Indicate wherc the financial statcments arc prq)arcd othcr than on thc basis that the Tntst is a going
concern.
The Committed Members are responsible for keeping proper books of accounts with rcspcct to the trust,
transactions and records of assets and liabilities whilc maintaining a satisfactory system of internal controls.
The Committee Members are also responsible for safeguarding of assets of the Trust and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Our examination was carried out in accoTdance with th¢ Gcncral Directions given by the Charity Commission.
An examination includes a review of the accounting r¢¢ords kq)t by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. It also includes Consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken
do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to
whether the accounts present a true and fair view and the rqjort is limited to those matters set out in the
statement below.

Notes to financial statements
l. Accounting policies
(a) Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The financial
statements havc been prepared in accordance with Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting
and Reporting and applicable UK Accounting Standards and th¢ Charities Act 2011.
(b) Funds structure
Unrestricted income funds comprise thosc funds which thc trustees are free to use for any purpose in
furtherance of the Charitable objects. Unrestricted funds include designated fimds where the trustees,
at their discretion, have set aside Tesources for a spccific purpose.
Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by the
donor or the ternis of a specific appeal at any time and under the ternis for public collection of Zakat
in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
(c) Charitable activitics
Charitable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activitics and
services for its beneficiaries. 11 includcs both the direct pay and support costs relating to those activities.
(d) Tangible flxed assets and dq)Teciation
All assets costing more than £500 arc capitaliscd and at historic cost. Fixed assets are stated at cost less
accumulated depreciation. The freehold property is valued at historic cost and it is not depreciated.
