Treasurer's Re
ort
Donations were £18,296.10. Corporate donations were at £12,550
Expenses remain very low at £20,552. Overall profit of £11,050.76. The charity was carrying
around £140K of cash at year end.
All donations are gratefully received, gift aid and professional study days continue to contribute.
The charity is exceptionally well positioned to incur harder years including loss making as we go
through turbulent years ahead.
PINNT reviews its expenditure at regular intervals in line with practicalities and sustainable factors
to maintain the charity.
The trustees are very happy with the financial position of the charity.
A copy of the Profit and Loss is available on the website and via the Charity Commission website.
Chair's Re
ort
Pleased to report that our awareness week in August 2024 was a success.
We launched a survey to investigate aspect of the waste, both clinical and non-clinical generated
from homecare, thanks to Emily Walters from BAPEN for her support. We had 443 responses,
and the results are being analysed. There is a lot to process; thanks to those who responded. We
will share initial findings as soon as we can.
We introduced a new Talking Points 4 booklet: this can be found on the website and copies can be
requested.
In addition to this we updated 2 other resources: our VNT guidance and Transition for young
people with intestinal failure. Thanks to the members of our Virtual Nutrition Team and Angela
Cole for all this work and commitment to our booklets.
We also shared the information we supported with the British Pharmaceutical Nutrition Group
relating to Medicines and enteral tubes.

Private and Confidential
We also appointed our first Charity Ambassador, David Bolton who hopes to raise awareness
about PINNT and HAN.
During Awareness week we shared different stories as each day had a theme, we also had patient
stories, the reality of life on HAN.
Thanks to those who shared their storiesl
We produced a special edition of Online - if you haven't read it, please do find the time to do so.
The Tracy Hill Patient Champion Awards were announced in August this year. More difficult
decisions for the adjudication panel. They judge all submission blind, once again this year there
were 2 winners of the award:
1. Liz Anderson
2. Amy Martin
In addition. the panel awarded 3 Certificates of Recognition.
1. Steph Williams
2. Hannah Littlechild
3. Team 2000k to Rome
Full information is available on the website.
Nominations will open earlier next year, so look out for the announcementl
Our PINNT Partners are an important part of our network. PINNT advocates for members and the
wider HAN community by engaging with national and professional organisations, decision and
policy makers as well as product designers and manufactures including service providers. Far too
often what people think people on HAN need or want, is not necessarily the case. Ifvhere we can
contribute to a better experience for those living with HAN we will.
PINNT resources continue to be popular. Our Medical Tag continues to be in demand, we love the
feedback from members who say it's a great resource and produces much support.
In addition to those mentioned we have fulfilled requests for a nil by mouth Restaurant card - it is
now going into full production and will be able within four weeks. Thanks for those who have tried
the pilot cards. We welcome ideas and feedback on any resources current or new.
Looking ahead...
Hoping to welcome new volunteerslAmbassadors.
Grow our resources.
Plan for HAN Week 2025.
Looking to use the information from our survey to have a conversation about sustainability
and how we can offer thoughts on reducing waste and improving education about clinical
waste.
Welcome feedback at any time and contributions of help.
Thank you to Rachel our admin support, who works on an ad hoc basis.
Thanks to Trustees, EC and all PINNT volunteers - every contribution of time rnakes a different,
it's all about teamwork. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes.

Private and Confidential
Thank you to our corporate partners.
Many thanks for all the donations we receive. We have no official funding.
Gary Taylor and Colette Taylor have stepped down this year, we wish to thank them both for their
efforts and time over the years. We know they will always be in the background ready to support
activities as and when they can - thank you very muchl
That concludes my report.
