FRIENDS OF THE FERNS ANNUAL REPORT 2021
Good afternoon everyone, and thank you for attending our second Zoom AGM.
It's been a difficult 18 months for everyone at The Ferns but I do feel that the staff there have coped magnificently in the circumstances and have managed to keep the Ferns open and available to everyone who has sought their services.
We will be updated later on the number of people helped.
It's been almost impossible to fund raise due to COVID but we did receive a very generous cheque from all the staff at Scrutton Bland. I know there are exciting fund raising initiatives in the pipeline for next year.
Our Catch 22 project is a new initiative we are pursuing to help fund an aid worker who would be able to go out into the community and spread the word and go out to schools and talk to children and young people. We have to wait until we have secure funding and then we can start to plan.
I want to thank all the Trustees for their continued support and help. You are all much appreciated.
