Ashford Bomugh Council Godinton Charitable Trust The closure of the maln bulldlng for all but essential purposes irnpatted dirertly on the Rentals activity that had previously provided sorne supplementsl income. In light of the ongoing uncertainty as to when, if and how thls artivity might be able to resume and after careful conslderatlon, the trustee and elders deaded to curtall all external bookings. Sadly, thls resulted in the redundancy of a dedlthited administrative position. The reduced attivity within the buildin8 has however allowed for a number of refurbishment projects to be undertaken. Our online broadcasting of Sunday services through Social media was established wtth a dedicated Studio facility developed within the building. In addition to Sunday services number of other regular broadcast channels were launched, for example,. Stretch Un- subscrlbe and Word Up, this has resulted in much wider interest and aurfience engagement with new people both locally and from other parts of the world now connerting on a re8ular basis. Moving Into 2021 have continued to rnonitor the physical restrirtions of meeting together that the vlrus has imposed on the congregation. Following two limited participant events In June 2021 In a covld secure maftner we have now re-opened for Sunday services whilst malntainlng a Ilve broadcast channel. Flnanclal revlew There wa5 a surplus in the year on unrestrfttedfunds of £1,35112019: £23,556 deficitl leaving a balance rarried forward at 31 December 2020 after transfers of £355,077. Unrestricted cash at bank amounted to £53,32112019: £46,078). GOI￿ Conwn The trustees have considered the financial resources and commitments of the charity and acknowledge that these are dependent on donations and fundraising activities of the church. After rnakin8 appropriate enquiries, trustees have a reasonable expectbtion that the charity has adequate resources to continue its operntion for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the charitvs flnanclal statements. Reserve5 pollry The charity 15 in recelpt of regular donated gifts prlmarily from church mernbers, this helps to support the day-to-day V￿rk of the churth and in addition a reserve of £25,(MY) is maintained in readily available funds.
