We alm to be an Incluslve nursery who attend5 to each thilrfs IndTrvKlual needs. This is because the uniqueness and indivlduallty of each chlld cannot be overemphaslsed. Our hardworkln8 staff have been dedlcated to working collaboratwy as a team to ensure that our mb51on and vlslon Is met. In the year under redlew Excellence Day Nursery Is rated"GOOW by OFSTED. Slnce the COVID-19 pandemic the number of chlldren who we care for has increaseil durln8 the year under revlew, as we provlded the opportunity for children from d15advantsged backgrounds to Increase their hour5 to full tlme rather than the 15 hour5 slot a week which ts funded by the government at no additional cost. We have also attrarted more thlldren whose parents are In Hl8her Educatlon, and recefving a childcare grant from Student Flnance England, thereby increasing our Income durin8 the year under revlew. We also had full tlme attendance slots offwed to thlldren wlth SEN (Spedal edutIOnal need51 to enable them to have 50dal IntÈractlon wlth other children and utilise our resources to ald wlth thelr seven areas of development. Instead of belng ai home In front of a tele415ion set whkh really does not support chlldren's langua8e developrnent. We also worked with chlldren who have a delay wlth speech and langue usin8 dlfferent strategies to support their lan8ua8e development. At our settln& we Invest In resource5 to make leamln8 ftlr our thihlren. For example, WÈ use Montessorl learnlng resources whlch enable chlldren. espedally thL)se with SEN (Special educatlonal need51 to engage Sn meanlngful and productbve learnln8 OPPQrtunllles. These resour are much MO cosily than the average learnln8 resources on the markeL We a150 offered support to other charlties such as ArKr of Hope ChTiStlan Fellowship and Premier Radlo UK durinB the year under revlew. We currently work In partnershlp wlth extemal agendes such as Speech Ther•pi5ts. Health Vlsltors, General Prartltloners and Educational Therapists
when we need professional advise on how to support children wrth SEN (Special educational needs). We also work in partnership with parents who support us in worklng with their children since we believe that parents know their children better than anyone else. They a150 SUPWrt us in marketlng by promoting and advertising our setting through word of mouth. We have found word of mouth is the most effective marketing tool in attracting more children to our early years provision. Our breakfast and after school club is extremely popular with Pants who need their chIldn to be dropped off to. and picked up frorn. their various schools while they are at work.
