- To relieve and prevent poverty among members of all ‘newly arrived communities’ and their dependents living in Greenwich, Brent, Bexley and surrounding areas by providing advocacy/signposting/general advice/translation/interpretation services and digital inclusion support.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit among members of newly arrived communities who are socially excluded on the grounds of their social and economic position in particular by providing:

a. Informal conversational English groups, with fluent English speakers.

b. Experiential learning in the community.

d. Digital inclusion support (emerging challenge)
In this clause ‘newly arrived communities’ means those coming to live and settle in the UK from other countries, particularly those who do not speak English, predominantly refugees and migrants.

In planning our activities for the year, we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
The main activities are as follows:

Digital inclusion project to tackle digital poverty,

the provision of advice and information,

the support of building self-support networks process,

• the provision of interpreting and translation service,

the development of volunteering opportunities.
These activities benefit ‘newly arrived communities’ by developing their self–confidence, social skills and life skills, improving their ability to access available services and providing opportunities for ‘newly arrived communities’ to become contributing citizens. We welcome all ‘newly arrived communities’ of all ages regardless of personal background, faith, gender or personal circumstances.

We continue to be grateful for the many hours, volunteers with lived experiences and ‘experts by experience’ who have spent listening to and encouraging our service users. Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise we would not have been able to achieve so much.

Our achievements, in the last 12 months include:

We listened our services users and included an emerging need of tackling the digital divide. We introduced training support on a new emerging need - ‘Digital Inclusion Support Service’.

We also continued to be awarded a Business Excellence Quality Mark for our commitments to customer service excellence by WorldHost Customer Service Excellence Charter for our easily accessible, effectively managed and employ staff with the skills and knowledge to meet the needs of our clients.

We continue to run our four-year digital inclusion project to tackle the digital divide our clients face.

We successfully continued our Coffee-Chat-Shop-Advice to bring communities together, tackle isolation and promote integration.

We continued to effectively carry out our theory-of-change principle in challenging barriers to accessing services.

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the basis of report preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters examiner's statement have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: • accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
